SMARTWOOL SWEEPSTAKES @ SUMMON THE SNOW

Sponsor:  Smartwool, a division of VF Outdoor, LLC, 1551 Wewatta St., Denver, CO 80202.

Open only to legal residents of the United States 21 years of age or older. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, Recreational Equipment, Inc., Alterra Mountain Company, Ikon Pass, Inc., their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates; any agencies/entities involved in the development, production or administration of the Sweepstakes; and other sponsors of the “Summon The Snow”- Denver event are not eligible to enter or win the prize. Sweepstakes is offered only in Denver, Colorado. Void elsewhere and where prohibited by law.

By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects and not subject to appeal.

1. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: 

Saturday, October 25, 2025,  4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (“MST”). Sponsor’s computer is the official clock for all purposes of the Sweepstakes.

2. HOW TO ENTER:

1. Entry Method No. 1:

From a compatible mobile device, send a text message with SOCKS to 85576.   After sending the text message, reply “Y” to confirm your SMS subscription and subsequent sweepstakes entry.** By signing up, you agree to receive automated and recurring messages from Smartwool about offers and services at the mobile number provided (including but not limited to this sweepstakes). Consent is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. Text terms in terms of use at https://www.smartwool.com/en-us/terms-of-use.html (see “SMS TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SMARTWOOL”) and privacy policy at https://www.smartwool.com/en-us/privacy-policy.html apply. Text STOP to cancel. Text HELP for help. Sending text message alone will not result in entry; you must send the text message AND thereafter subscribe to receive SMS communications from Smartwool. You may unsubscribe from receiving SMS communications from Smartwool at any time without affecting your ability to enter the Sweepstakes or your odds of winning the prize. Entry must be received by Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:00 PM MST. Receipt of entry will be acknowledged by Sponsor, but such acknowledgment is not otherwise binding upon Sponsor under any legal theory.

** Even if you already have an SMS subscription, you may enter by sending a text message with SOCKS to 85576. 

2. Entry Method No. 2: 

Print your name, complete address (including zip code), e-mail address (if any), and “SMARTWOOL SWEEPSTAKES @ SUMMON THE SNOW” on a 3” x 5” card and deposit in the designated box on-site by Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:00 PM MST.  (Do NOT give the 3” x5” card to Sponsor’s Brand Ambassadors/representatives or any other person). Paper entry is void if mechanically reproduced/copied. Paper entry becomes the sole property of Sponsor. Receipt of paper entry will not be acknowledged and paper entry will not be returned.

If entering via 3” x 5” card, your personal information will only be used for purposes of Sweepstakes administration, including winner notification (if applicable) in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at  https://www.smartwool.com/en-us/privacy-policy.html. By entering, you agree to the terms of Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.   

3. ADDITIONAL ENTRY RESTRICTIONS:  

  1. Limit of one (1) entry per person. If you enter more than once, you will be disqualified from the Sweepstakes altogether and all your entries will be void.
  2. Use of automated, programmed or like means of entry (including third party sweepstakes entry services) is prohibited. 
  3.  Proof of submission of entry information (including 3” x 5” card) does not constitute proof of receipt of same or proof of entry.

4. WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION:

 

  1. One (1) entrant will be selected as the potential prize winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received.  Sponsor will conduct the random drawing on or about Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
  2. Potential prize winner will be notified via phone (if entering via Entry Method No. 1) or postal mail or e-mail, the latter if provided (if entering via Entry Method No. 2). In either case, potential prize winner will be required to sign a Declaration of Eligibility, Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where legal), which must be returned within five (5) days of date of notification. If potential prize winner cannot be notified by Sponsor despite reasonable efforts to do so; if they fail to timely return the signed Declaration/Release; or if Sponsor determines that they are ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited without compensation of any kind. In the event of prize forfeiture, Sponsor may award the prize to an alternate winner selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries received.

5. PRIZE/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”) AND ODDS OF WINNING:

Prize (1) – (2) Lift Tickets to select Ikon Pass Destinations.  Approximate Retail Value: $300.

 

Lift Tickets are subject to the terms and conditions of use. Redemption may be subject to availability, holiday/blackout dates, usage deadline and/or advanced notice requirements. If not used prior to deadline, no compensation or alternate prize will be awarded. 

 

SPONSOR MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND REGARDING LIFT TICKETS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE.

 

IN USING LIFT TICKETS, WINNER UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT SKIING/SNOWBOARDING AND OTHER MOUNTAIN SPORTS ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS AND CARRY A RISK OF INJURY, DISMEMBERMENT, PARALYSIS OR EVEN DEATH.   

 

Odds of winning the prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS:

  1. Prize must be accepted by winner as awarded. Prize must be accepted in its entirety or not at all.
  2. Prize is not transferable except with Sponsor’s permission, which may be granted or withheld in Sponsor’s sole discretion and without liability of any kind. 
  3. Prize will only be delivered to a street address in the United States.
  4. No prize substitution permitted except by Sponsor due to unavailability of prize for any reason and only then for prize of equal or greater value. 
  5. Prize is NOT redeemable or exchangeable by winner for cash.
  6. Unspecified expenses related to acceptance/use of prize are winner’s sole responsibility. The preceding includes but is not limited any and all costs associated with redemption and use of Lift Tickets.
  7. Taxes on prize are winner’s sole responsibility.
  8. By accepting prize, where legal, winner agrees to the use of their name, photograph, likeness, voice, nickname and other indicia of their identity/persona for advertising/trade/publicity purposes by Sponsor and its designees without further compensation or notice. 

7. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

  1. By participating, entrant releases and agrees to hold harmless Sponsor, Recreational Equipment, Inc., Alterra Mountain Company, Ikon Pass, Inc., their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, or of any agencies/entities involved in the development, production or administration of the Sweepstakes; and the directors, officers, employees and agents of any of the above organizations from any and all liability arising from the Sweepstakes or the receipt, acceptance, use or misuse of prize.
  2. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, illegible/garbled, stolen, inaccessible, corrupted, incomplete, delayed, damaged or misdirected 3” x 5” cards or entries; all of which are void. Sponsor is also not responsible for programming, electronic, technological, telephonic, network or other malfunction, error or failure which in any way affects or interferes with the operation of the Sweepstakes; or for entries not timely received or not received in a usable format for any reason.
  3. If Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as originally planned due to any cause beyond Sponsor’s control (e.g., computer virus, act of fraud, natural disaster), Sponsor may cancel/suspend/modify Sweepstakes and determine the winner in a manner determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules.
  4. Tampering with Sweepstakes or violation of these Official Rules will result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes; but, disqualification shall not represent the sole remedy available to Sponsor.
  5. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules in a given instance is NOT a waiver of such provision.
  6.  Any dispute or claim regarding the Sweepstakes will be resolved pursuant to the internal, substantive law of the State of Delaware. Any such dispute/claim must be brought individually (NOT as part of a class action) in the federal or state courts in the State of Delaware with recovery being limited to one’s actual costs in participating in the Sweepstakes (if any) with all damages or other forms of recovery being expressly waived.
  7. If any provision of these Official Rules is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be replaced by a substitute provision that most closely approximates the original intent of Sponsor and is valid, legal and enforceable. The invalidity/illegality/unenforceability of a given provision shall not affect the remainder of these Official Rules.
